We at Bengal Security Academy have already organized ourselves to impart training as laid down in the Act of 2005 and Rules 2006. In fact we are the pioneers in this field in the state of West Bengal.

We are registered with the Home Department of the State. Our Licence No. is 007/WB/PSA/2007.

Objectives

To provide specialized quality training to Private Security Guards and Supervisors
To provide placement services to guards and supervisors who train under our agency
To provide security consultancy services to prospective clients
To carry out security audits and security inspection for clients
To source and retail security products for trade and industry

HOW DO WE OPERATE ?

The academy abides by the tender procedure for soliciting business. We also interact with potential corporate clients and make a presentation of the services and products we offer and the terms and conditions of the contract.

Should the customer be interested -
We carry out an inspection and security audit of the customer’s organization and examine the customers security needs.
A comprehensive security report is submitted to the customer and a set of recommendations is made.
The recommendations are in two parts viz. mandatory and optional.
Mandatory recommendations are required to be implemented before the contract is operationalised. The customer may employ the services of other vendors to put in place the facilities recommended.
Our agency thereafter selects security personnel from our data bank and puts the requisite number of guards through mandated orientation training both at our premises and at the work site.
Finally the team is deployed at site. The process takes 30 days from the date the contract is signed.

Security training made compulsory

From March 2007, Security Agencies and Private Security Personnel employed by security agencies have to comply with sections of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act 2005.

Today, individuals, families, companies, organizations are concerned about security and are willing to pay for security services and equipments to ensure their personal safety and the safety of their assets and property.

It is ironic that no university or coaching institute of repute, offers a structured security course to train manpower for security related sectors.

Guidance To Security Personnel

As security personnel rise in rank, they are guided and advised to acquire additional diplomas, degrees and awareness of subjects such as law, medicine, forensic sciences, human rights, civil liberties, disaster relief and communication engineering. It is however not necessary for all security personnel to acquire professional degrees in the subjects mentioned above. Relative awareness will enable them to reach specialist level in each discipline and achieve successful results.
